Really have to say how elegant and intriguing I found the Power of Fastercise. My slow daily read of it during the COVID19 pandemic this spring was accompanied by daily shivercise and frequent discussions of the book. It was a daily routine at home for my wife and I and a perfect antidote to gyms being closed and social distancing requirements. This book has been the missing piece to my now detailed and practical understanding of exercise physiology and high intensity exercise. Compared to any weight loss exercise program I have seen in my lifetime, nothing comes close in my mind to Fastercise in terms of how it emulates and accentuates the innate signaling our bodies have utilized to modify body composition over the course of human evolution. In addition to how it will enrich my daily exercise practice for years to come on a personal level, as a science educator and life coach specializing in ADD/ADHD for teens and adults, it has such great value as a lifestyle strategy to balance the brain, improve learning via its stimulation of nerve growth factor, promote calm via stimulation of serotonin, help with emotional regulation, and much much more.
